In our business relationship in providing you with business, personal, family and household insurance porducts and services, we obtain information necessary to offer and/or provide you with insurance products and services.  This information may be obtained from you on applications and/or interviews (such as social security numbers, assets, income, property values, dates of birth, drivers licensed numbers, vehicle information, family information, health, claims history, net worth, etc.) or from other sources such as state motor vehicle departments, consumer credit reporting agencies, claims data bases or governmental criminal history sources.  Other sources of information (as permitted by law) may be used when relevant to the insurance underwriting process.

Sigel Insurance Group and our employees treat this information as confidential and we protect it as such.  We restrict access to this information to employees and agents who provide you with our services.  We require them to hold this information in confidence.  We safeguard this information with mechanical (locks and alarms), electronic (passwords and firewalls) and procedural security measures.  Nonpublic information is shared only with outside organizations which might offer to provide or do provide insurance and related services to you and through us or which provide marketing services for us.  The information will not be shared by us with any other outside organization except to:
          -court, state insurance department or other government agencies as
           required by law or regulation;
          -those you designate to act on your behalf (your attorney, CPA,
            fiduciary,
           trustee, investigators, adjusters, appraisers, etc.)
          -your medical professionals as directed by you;
           all as permitted by law.

When information held by us is disposed of, the medium that it is on (paper, discs, etc.) is shredded.

Under separate cover, the insurance company or service organization that provides you with products either has or will advise you of their privacy policy.
